About Us

I’m Hannah, the heart and hands behind Columbia Basin English Cream Golden Retrievers. My love for Golden Retrievers began even before I had children of my own, when I adopted my first American Golden, Lily. She instantly stole my heart, and it wasn’t long before I found her the perfect companion, Larry. For seven wonderful years, they were inseparable best friends. During her younger years, Lily had a litter of twelve puppies, and I discovered a deep passion for whelping and helping her raise them. Today, Lily is happily retired, spayed, and continues to enjoy her best life exploring our 17-acre property. Sadly, Larry’s life was cut short by cancer, leaving our family heartbroken.

 

In the years that followed, I welcomed two children into my life, and our dogs have played a special role in helping raise them. After losing Larry, we adopted our very first European Golden Retriever, Lucy. It quickly became clear that Lucy was truly one of a kind. She was an exceptional puppy who grew into an even more remarkable adult. She was gentle with children and an all-around wonderful family companion. Inspired by her ideal temperament, I decided to breed her so my children could experience the joy of raising puppies. From this decision, Columbia Basin English Cream Golden Retrievers was born.

 

Raising healthy, happy puppies is my highest priority. I achieve this by conducting thorough health testing on all of my breeding females and ensuring that any selected studs meet the same rigorous standards. Our puppies spend the first eight weeks of their lives immersed in a loving family environment, playing daily with my two children, ages 10 and 12. They also interact with their mother, our other Golden Retrievers, and our cats, ensuring they are exceptionally well-socialized and prepared for their forever homes.
