Meet our dogs

Here at Columbia Basin EC Golden Retrievers, our dogs are raised on over 17 acres of beautiful land- complete with walking paths to explore and streams for swimming and playing. This space allows our dogs to grow, exercise, and live happy, enriched lives as part of our everyday family. Our dogs are not just pets — they are family. One of the greatest joys for us is being able to share these incredible dogs with other families through our breeding program. We carefully breed only health-tested dogs to give our puppies the best possible start in life, with the goal of helping them live the longest, healthiest, and happiest lives possible. We are passionate about raising well-socialized, loving, and beautiful European Golden Retrievers that will become cherished members of their forever families.

Matilda

Matilda "Tilly" is the newest member of our breeding program, and she is everything we dreamed she would be. As a daughter of our beloved Lucy, she carries forward the exact traits we hoped her lineage would produce—beautiful conformation, exceptional temperament, and a joyful spirit.

From the moment you meet her, Matilda’s personality shines. She has a delightful sense of humor and a playful nature that comes out at just the right times. Always eager to greet new friends, she loves to arrive with a toy in her mouth as her own cheerful welcome. Her affectionate, people-focused disposition makes her a true joy to live with.

Matilda weighs 76 pounds and displays a luxurious, creamy white coat that reflects her European heritage with elegance. She has been fully health tested through the OFA for hips, elbows, and cardiac, and she is genetically tested and clear—assurances we take seriously to produce healthy, exceptional puppies.

We are incredibly excited to watch Matilda’s genetics shine in our future litters. With her outstanding lineage and irresistible personality, she is sure to make a meaningful and lasting contribution to our program.

Luna

Say hello to Luna, our beautiful medium-energy European Golden Retriever, born from Lucy’s first litter. With her nearly white, luxurious coat and captivating dark eyes, Luna is the perfect embodiment of the grace and charm that runs through her impressive lineage of European imports.

At a healthy 75 lbs, Luna is a playful and affectionate companion who enjoys her daily routine of morning walks and dips in the canal. Whether it’s a relaxing stroll or a fun swim, she’s always ready to join in on the action, making her the ideal fit for an active family.

Luna is as loving as she is playful, thriving on close connections with her family and making her an incredibly loyal and attentive presence in your home. Her puppies are sure to inherit this sweet, devoted nature, bringing joy and affection to their new families.

Rest assured, Luna’s health is top-notch. She has been genetically tested and cleared for common conditions, and she holds OFA certifications for hips, elbows, and cardiac health, ensuring she’s as healthy as she is happy.

Lucy {Retired}

The girl who made us fall in love with the European lines, comes from a long line of European imports and is a sweet and gentle soul. She is eager to please and always up for a walk with us. She loves to swim and is a great scent tracker. Her puppies will make great companions, hunters, therapy dogs or an all-around great family pet. She has received a "good" OFA rating for hips and elbows, and is free of any displasias. She has her cardiac clearances through OFA. She has also completed genetic testing. She is approximately 74 pounds and has a nice, blocky head. Lucy was spayed during her most recent whelping, so she gets to enjoy her retirement playing with future litters from our other mamas!

Augustus (Gus) {Guest Stud}

Meet Gus – our handsome guest stud. Gus is a true heartthrob with a personality to match his striking looks. This super sweet, affectionate, and lovey boy is the epitome of what a Golden Retriever should be – loving, loyal, and a little extra when it comes to cuddles. Known for his charming temperament, Gus is not only a devoted companion but also an exceptional competitor in the show ring.

Currently working toward his Canine Good Citizen (CGC) title, Gus continues to excel both in his training and in his accomplishments. He boasts an impressive conformation pedigree, having earned his International Championship and several prestigious awards. With a robust, thick, creamy show coat that turns heads wherever he goes, Gus has taken home multiple honors, including:

Marshall is a stunning European Golden Retriever with a heart as big as his 80-pound frame. With his flowy, show-stopping coat — a beautiful creamy white that turns slightly green after a good roll in freshly cut grass — Marshall is as handsome as he is lovable.

Marshall absolutely adores his family and thrives on being part of everyday life. Whether he’s following his people around the house, playing outside, or enthusiastically chasing goats in the pasture, he brings a goofy, playful energy wherever he goes. He also loves the water and never turns down a chance to go swimming, especially on a warm day.

Marshall is a guest stud in our program and has passed all of his health testing with flying colors. He has a wonderful temperament — friendly, affectionate, and eager to please — traits we value highly and are excited to see passed on to his puppies.

Marshall produces beautiful puppies with rich, light coats, solid structure, and the sweet, family-friendly personalities that Golden Retrievers are known and loved for.
